Training Information
Program requirements
To successfully complete the BRIGHT-Canada program, trainees are expected to fulfill the following:
1. Core curriculum
Completion of two specialized graduate courses in the fundamentals of radiobiology (available in-person or via videoconference).
2. CNL Internship
Participation in a 3–4 month hands-on internship at the Canadian Nuclear Laboratories (CNL) to gain industry-relevant experience.
3. Annual retreat
Attendance and presentation (oral or poster) at the BRIGHT-Canada Annual Retreat to network with international experts.
4. Seminar series
Regular attendance at the integrated seminar series featuring national and international speakers from academia and industry.
5. Professional workshops
Completion of workshops focused on science communication, EDI competency, and project management.
