Dr. Noha Ismail
University of Ottawa
Dr. Noha Ismail is the Lead Coordinator for Research and Program Support in the Department of Biochemistry, Microbiology, and Immunology at the Faculty of Medicine,University of Ottawa, and serves as the Project Coordinator for the BRIGHT-Canada Project, an NSERC CREATE initiative developing highly trained professionals in radiobiology. Holding a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences, she brings extensive experience in higher education and research management, including her previous roles as a post-doctoral researcher and as Assistant Professor.
In her roles, Dr. Ismail oversees research and program administration at the departmental level and manages the operational and strategic components of BRIGHT-Canada, including advanced courses, CNL internships, annual retreats, and specialized seminar series. She also coordinates professional skills workshops and EDI initiatives, supporting trainee development across academic, industry, and government sectors.
Her research contributions include several Q1 publications, and her expertise spans research coordination, grant management, and fostering collaborations between academic and industry partners, advancing both departmental initiatives and BRIGHT-Canada’s mission to train the next generation of radiobiology professionals.
