University of Calgary
Dr. Pierre Billon (ECR) is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Cumming School of Medicine at the University of Calgary. Dr. Billon’s laboratory investigates mechanisms that promote DNA Repair and Genome Editing, utilizing advanced genome editing technologies, high-throughput genetic screens, biochemical assays, cell biology experiments, and mouse models.
His research aims to provide new insights into the mechanisms that promote genome stability after irradiation for enhancing cancer treatments and refining precision genome editing technologies to treat human genetic diseases with improved accuracy, efficiency, and safety. He has published 15 articles that have been cited over 770 times, with an H-index of 7 and an i10-index of 7.
